Surjer Hashi Network has built strong connections with the hard-to-reach areas by utilizing its health workers, paramedics, and contractual Community Service Providers (CSPs). Continuity in this effort over the decades has resulted in reducing high-risk home deliveries and, at the same time, contributed to the Sustainable Development Goal 3. This has been possible by referring the patients to clinics by field workers who are based in small outreach facilities known as hubs and satellite spots. The connectivity also helps young women and children to access low cost maternal and child health care, family planning, lab & imaging and vaccination services at SHN’s full-fledged clinic facilities, which would be missed out otherwise.
